Season 2 Episode 08: Fad Diets And Diabetes – Everything You Need to Know About Dieting with Diabetes

After the world went on lockdown in 2020, and Diapoint had to postpone its face-to-face Family Picnic, we immediately started looking for solutions to continue to educate, inform and bring people together. So we went virtual!

As part of our Diapoint Virtual Diabetes Series, we interviewed Zeina Younes, a Diabetes Clinical Dietician Specialist. We spoke to Zeina about fad diets, and how safe they may or may not be for people with diabetes.

In this episode, Zeina Younes MSc shares her expertise and wisdom with us about all things “dieting”. She teaches us about:

  • Fad diets, and the pros can cons of each
  • Dietary guidelines for people with diabetes
  • Guidelines on the different types of diet

…and more!

This is definitely a do not miss.

You will hear us interview medical experts and others, but please always always ask your qualified doctor, diabetes team or other expert about your health. What works for one person does not always work for another person. What you should always do when you discover any new health information is ask YOUR doctor about it. This information should empower you to have a discussion with your healthcare providers about it. Diapoint, our guests, sponsors and business partners are not here to replace that advice. Living a full, healthy life means taking the proper medical advice from your qualified physicians, diabetes team or other healthcare providers.
