Season 4, Episode 01: New Year, New Noise! Healthy Does Not Mean Unaccessible And Over Priced
New Year, New Noise! The new year is full of messages and advertisements that you should hate yourself or your life. Don’t!
Goal-setting on January 1st is not necessary! Sometimes it’s not even fun!
Your first mission for this year is to love the person you were last year and do healthy things that are available to you – and most of them free – to improve your health.
Health and wellness are not only for the elite and the wealthy. They are for everyone. There are things we can do that are free to support our health.
- Eat wholesome foods. Less is more.
- Sleep well.
- Drink water.
- Move – it doesn’t have to be in a fancy gym, or a big lofty goal. Just move.
- No screens before bedtime.
- Even washing your hands regularly helps!
In addition to these new year tips, Pam shares a little bit about where she was in her own goal setting after her burnout and exhaustion at the end of a successful 2022.
The moral of the story: Give yourself the permission to be human and love yourself throughout the year. Stay focussed on living healthy and well. This is self-love. Treating yourself well throughout the year – even in the small things – is self-care.

Disclaimer: It should go without saying that the Diapoint podcast is not intended as or should not be used as personal medical advice. You will hear us interview medical experts and others, but please always always ask your qualified doctor, diabetes team or other expert about your health. What works for one person does not always work for another person. What you should always do when you discover any new health information is ask YOUR doctor about it. This information should empower you to have a discussion with your healthcare providers about it. Diapoint, our guests, sponsors and business partners are not here to replace that advice. Living a full, healthy life means taking the proper medical advice from your qualified physicians, diabetes team or other healthcare providers.
