Over time, I’ve come to love the travel and diabetes stories shared over at Sweet Trip. If you have diabetes and you love to travel, or your child, family member or friend has diabetes, you will know that traveling with diabetes comes with its own special challenges.

What I really enjoy about the travel and diabetes stories featured on Sweet Trip is that they are real accounts from real people. The experiences you can read on the Sweet Trip blog can both inspire and educate, especially if you are new to travel and diabetes.

My Article on the Sweet Trip Blog: Traveling with a Child with Type 1 Diabetes

I contributed an article about traveling with a child with Type 1 Diabetes, and I would love for you to have a read!

In my post, I cover:

  • The first travel after a new diabetes diagnosis
  • My tips for what to pack for your diabetes-friendly vacation
  • Insulin and supplies
  • Surviving diabetes travel bloopers.

If you’re a parent of a child with Type 1 Diabetes, this is especially great reading for you. It might seem scary to embark on a vacation when it seems like so much can go wrong.

But it is possible, with a bit of preparation, to have a wonderful trip with your child, even with diabetes adding in an extra layer of complication.

I also recommend Sweet Trip’s other contributed stories on diabetes travel. There are some great reads in there!
