The idea of traveling with diabetes can feel overwhelming.
If you have diabetes, or you care for someone with diabetes, you may be hesitant to travel – particularly if your diagnosis is new. However, it can be done – and done well.
There is no reason why diabetes should keep you or a loved one from traveling.
It does require some planning and preparation. At times a new environment or new foods may seem stressful. Even the weather can affect blood sugars. But the more you learn about yourself as a person living with diabetes in both familiar and unfamiliar surroundings, the more you will enjoy travel.
Not sure where to begin?
